The game follows the traditional "Snakes and Ladders" board game. A single dice roll at the beginning of your turn would define how much spaces you can move in that turn. Players take turns in moving their animals until one reaches the last tile, which he will then be declared the winner.
- Prepare Phase ‒ is where the turn delays, dice roll, passive skill, terrain effects, status changes, and adrenaline chance are calculated.
- Decision Phase 1 ‒ is a phase where you can choose your action whether to move, rest, activate an active skill, and/or end your turn.
- Movement Phase ‒ is the Phase after you choose to "Move". The animal with the current turn will traverse through a number of tiles depending on his allowed Movement. This phase maybe skipped depending on instances such as if you chose "Rest".
- Decision Phase 2 ‒ is the phase after moving where you can optionally activate an active skill and/or end your turn.
- End Phase ‒ is the final phase of a turn where obstacle effects are triggered and calculated.
