How To Play

The game follows the traditional "Snakes and Ladders" board game. A single dice roll at the beginning of your turn would define how much spaces you can move in that turn. Players take turns in moving their animals until one reaches the last tile, which he will then be declared the winner.

  • The game starts when all the four players are ready with their chosen Animals. They are then sorted according to their turn order and their animals are set on Tile 0, the first tile.

  • The players then take turns moving their animal. Each turn starts with an automated dice roll, which is a random number between two and six (one is omitted).
  • The first player to reach the 150th tile will be declared the winner, and then the game ends.
  • A turn consist of four phases, which are not explicitly displayed in the game but takes effect, namely:
    • Prepare Phase ‒ is where the turn delays, dice roll, passive skill, terrain effects, status changes, and adrenaline chance are calculated.
    • Decision Phase 1 ‒ is a phase where you can choose your action whether to move, rest, activate an active skill, and/or end your turn.
    • Movement Phase ‒ is the Phase after you choose to "Move". The animal with the current turn will traverse through a number of tiles depending on his allowed Movement. This phase maybe skipped depending on instances such as if you chose "Rest".
    • Decision Phase 2 ‒ is the phase after moving where you can optionally activate an active skill and/or end your turn.
    • End Phase ‒ is the final phase of a turn where obstacle effects are triggered and calculated.

  • Each animal has five different states.
    • Normal
    • Adrenaline
    • Rest
    • Exhausted
    • Fainted
  • Each animal has a set of attributes, namely:
    • Stamina
    • Movement
    • Turn Delay
    • Resistances
  • Each animal has 2 types of skills which can both swing the race to their favor:
    • Active Skill ‒ A skill which can be used on either your Decision Phase if you choose to do so.
    • Passive Skill ‒ A skill which is automatically triggered during your Prepare Phase for every turn.
  • The board is divided into different Terrains, each having its own Boost and Buffer effects, and a set of adaptable animals. Animals with adaptation to the current terrain will gain its Boost and ignore its Buffer. Likewise, animals with no adaptation to the terrain will be affected by its Buffer and ignore the Boost.
  • Obstacles are special tiles scattered around the map with its own effects. There are 3 types of obstacles:
    • Field Obstacle
    • Trip Obstacle
    • Encounter Obstacle
